October Wrap-Up & GIVEAWAY WINNER

I feel like I say this with every wrap-up, but honestly where did the month go? Where has the year gone?! I cannot believe that we are only sixty days away from ringing in 2019!

200 (2).gif

October was a whirlwind month for me. Blogoween kicked off for the first time and was a HUGE success (all thanks to you guys), I hosted my very first giveaway (which the winner will be announced below!), and I have made so many new friends here in the book blogging world! Honestly, October was a great month filled to the brim with different events and different emotions. I can’t even believe this but hot damn I read a crap ton too. How I found the time to host, co-organize, work, read, and you know–breathe, I will never know! But flipping flapjacks does it feel good.

Before we get into what exactly I read, I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone that participated and hosted Blogoween. You guys are simply amazing. None of this would have happened if it wasn’t for your enthusiasm and participation! Thank you to everyone who posted for it throughout blogoween, and to all the hosts for giving us a piece of your week/blog throughout the month of October and promoting the shiznits out of this event! YOU ARE THE REAL MVP!!!

-MUSIC WRAP-UP-

This month has been a nostalgic month in the music department as I have found myself venturing back into a country mood. Maybe because it’s fall and cool weather has decided to sporadically visit the city I live in that has got me into my southern roots and what not. I don’t really know, but man oh man have I been loving these songs like crazy this month:

  • Shallow – Lady Gaga, Bradley Cooper
  • Hi-Low – Bishop Briggs
  • Lullaby Love – Roo Panes
  • Neon Church – Tim Mcgraw
  • Lose It – Kane Brown
  • Beautiful Crazy – Luke Combs
  • To A T – Ryan Hurd
  • Burn the Ships Album – For KING and COUNTRY
  • Dead Man’s Arms – Bishop Briggs
  • Taki Taki – DJ Snake, Selena Gomez, Cardi B, Ozuna
  • Without Me – Halsey
  • Sweet But Psycho – Ava Max
  • She’s Got the Best Of Me – Luke Combs
  • Simple – Florida Georgia Line
  • Talked You Out of It – Florida Georgia Line
  • Whiskey Glasses – Morgan Wallen

BLOGOWEEN DAY 1: Halloween Creatures Tag 2.0

Halloween Tag 2.0.png

HAPPY OCTOBER 1ST MY BEAUTIFUL GREMLINS! I can’t believe October is finally here–I can’t believe BLOGOWEEN is finally here! I am legit so excited for the days to come and to see all of y’all’s spooktacular/autumn vibing posts! Clo and I have worked so hard to make this a reality and I am stupid excited to see it come alive!

If you don’t know what Blogoween is then you are in for a treat! It’s a month-long event co-organized by myself and Clo @ Book Dragons, as well as hosted by a slew of amazing book bloggers where we create posts centering around the thoeme of Halloween and/r Autumn! If interested you can click here for more info and to sign up!

Our first prompt of the month comes from the amazing Anthony @ Keep Reading Forward, which if you haven’t followed him yet YOU TOTALLY SHOULD! To kick off Blogoween this year, he has reinvented his Halloween Creatures Book tag and has so nicely tagged me in it! Thank you Anthony!

So the rules for this are rather simple: Answer all the prompts and answer honestly, tag 1-13 people, Link back to the original post, don’t forget to credit the creator (Anthony @ Keep Reading Forward), and last but not least have fun! The Entertainer Book Tag

Entertainer.pngMy amazing and genius partner in Crime, Clo @ Book Dragons, tagged me to do this super fun tag. Which first off, Thank you Clo! And secondly, guys go check out her Blog, it’s what dragon dreams are made of!

So evidently the way that this tag works is that I answer the questions that Clo left for me and then I ask my own questions for those I tag at the end! Without further ado–let’s do this!

-CLO’S QUESTIONS-

A book/series you picked up, which has taught you something invaluable

There are so many series that have taught me something along the way, so it is hard to only choose one without paying homage to the hundreds of other books that have left their mark on my life and who I am today. However, the first to come to mind is A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas. I know that this series is super problematic, but I grew so much as a person from this series–especially from the second installment. I learned that people aren’t always as they appear (this can be good or bad) and that you can’t love someone or something until you can love yourself–which is something I struggled (and continue to struggle) grasping until I read Feyre’s journey. August Wrap Up + BLOGOWEEN

wrapup3.png

How is this year almost over?!

August is officially done and over with and so much has happened these past thirty days that I can’t even wrap my head around it. I didn’t read as much as I usually do, but wow-oh-wow was August jam-packed with adulting changes. I started a new job, got a car (still need a license…slowly but surely we are getting there people), my dog (Mr. Chips) finally has overcome his fear of driving in the car at night and now loves it, and I made some

Mr. Chips when I told him we were going to the bookstore.

amazing new friends here in this blogging world!

But can I just say HOW FREAKING PUMPED I AM FOR FALL AND WINTER!? Y’all my favorite time of year is only thirty days away! My happy-go-lucky ass is breaking out all the cardigans, combat boots, candles, and fuzzy blankets I own–AND I AM HERE FOR IT. Not to mention this year is going to be even greater since I’ll be hosting/participating in BLOGOWEEN AND BLOGMAS with a bunch of my friends here in the bookblogging world! But I’ll talk more about that later on in the post. Continue reading “August Wrap Up + BLOGOWEEN”
