Dewey’s 24 Hour Read-a-Thon TBR

Is this impulsive?

Yes, yes it is.

Am I staying on brand?

Um–yes why yes I am.

So if you haven’t noticed by the title, I have decided albeit impulsively–to participate in this years Dewey’s 24 hour read-a-thon! If you don’t know what this read-a-thon is you can check out there website HERE for all the glorious information and to sign up. But essentially, it’s a readathon where readers all over the world dedicate 24 hours at the same time to reading and talking about what we are reading! There are mini-challenges that a slew of amazing people across different mediums and social medias will be hosting; and over all it is just one heck of a time where the TBR gets slain…or in my case attempts to get slain.

As I live close to the Louisiana border in Texas, this time around my start time is 7am this Saturday. If you are participating and don’t know when your start time for your city is, you can check out this page to find out!!

But without further ado, this is my tentative TBR for this Saturday! Will I get to them all? Probably not, but dang flapjacks I’m gonna try!  Continue reading “Dewey’s 24 Hour Read-a-Thon TBR”

BLOGOWEEN DAY 4: Top 5 Witchy Books

Blogoween Day4.png

A new day, a new Blogoween post! Today’s post is from our next host Kaleena @ Reader Voracious! Big shout out to Anthony at Keep Reading Forward for doing an amazing job kick starting Blogoween!

Kaleena’s first prompt of the season is one that makes me giddy all over–Top five Witchy Books. Now I’ve read only a handful of Witchy books and unfortunately didn’t like any of them save for Potter. BUT! Kaleena has so graciously allowed me to tweak her prompt to list the wizarding books I really can’t wait to get my grubby hands on! Thank you again!

So grab your wands and hats, and lets see what magical books I can’t wait to sink into next! Continue reading “BLOGOWEEN DAY 4: Top 5 Witchy Books”

T5W: Children’s Books to Read As An Adult

t5w

Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly book meme that was created and moderated by Lainey but is now hosted by Sam (not me). If you want to find out more about this group/feature or if you wanna join in on all this fun, you can visit the Goodreads group here!

This weeks topic is a blast from the past. Literally. Like #throwbackthursday has nothing on this topic which is all about children’s books that deserve to be revisited as we grow older. A caveat to this month’s topic is to try and stray away from Harry Potter, because well…it’s Harry Potter and literally can be applied to anything. March TBR

TBR

Ahh, my favorite time of the month. The time where I think I am super-human and make a list the size of Mount Everest and think to myself “I can read all the things this month! I am the master commander.”

Well, let’s hope that this month I am the Master Commander because there are a lot of new authors (to me) that I want to read, as well as authors I am planning on meeting at TeenBookCon in a few weeks that I want to read before meeting and listening to them. So without further ado, let’s get on into this shindig!! Continue reading “March TBR”
